Hewlett Packard has long before stepped into the Ultra book race with its Spectre and Envy series of Laptops. The product in question is the HP Envy 4 laptop that was launched recently by much pomp and show. First have a look at the specs this ultrabook houses.

Pros: The best thing about this laptop is that it is smartly priced at very competitive rates. It will definitely give tough competitions to the counterparts. The design is really envy for other laptops (except for the Mac of course) with a perfect colour combination for the top and the bottom. The integration of beats audio is another advantage this laptop has that puts it ahead of many laptops in its category. HP has really gone ahead and put its best to keep the laptop cool at all times which the laptop surely does. The touchpad is very reliable and ultra responsive and also the boot time is very fast. All these features make this laptop a right choice for you

Cons: the biggest flaw this laptop house is surprisingly of the design. The lid of the laptop can catch on to the back side of the chassis which can be very annoying and damaging to the laptop. Another unwanted feature that occurs on many laptops and is dominant on this one too is the fingerprints leaving a mark on the lid. It will leave you wiping the lid more than you bargained for. The screen is the most attractive part of any portable device but the folks at HP did not give much attention to it as the backlight of the screen is dimmer than you expect even at highest brightness. Another huge disappointment is the lack of an optical drive and a seemingly heavier chassis that renders this device less portable.

The HP Envy 4 is an attractive and affordable laptop but is slower in performance than other entry level laptops. When it comes to buying the perfect laptop, you might get confused between this and other similar devices.
